# Governance toolkit used in the TEC:

Organizing complexity is a challenge; while we acknowledge the importance of socio-technical processes, the interplay of tooling, composability, culture, as well as their corresponding social agreements and administration, here we focus on tooling explanations and document three contextual “slices” in which to view the TEC’s governance tools.

Governance in the Token Engineering Commons is constantly evolving, but this is a look at tools the community is using, and plans to use, to address decision-making in three layers of the TEC:
