Tools TL;DR

Purpose: Rare but ongoing votes to configure and upgrade smart contracts which sometimes could include sensitive and urgent decisions i.e. in the case of a security risk.

Special Abilities: Configure or change parameters of the DAO/economy or install, uninstall or upgrade decentralized applications (DApps) of i.e. if a bug is found in code, upgrade or change voting tools - for example, changing Conviction Voting to Quadratic Conviction Voting, move blockchains or other core level decisions made by the community.

Voting Type: depends on tool

Tools

๐Ÿงฎ Configuration Dashboards - Used to aid communities in their economic design.

๐Ÿงฎ Tokenlog (Token Weighted Backlog) - quadratic voting on configuration of parameters.

๐ŸŒผ Dandelion Voting - Admin access managed by trusted steward developers - can add/remove applications - in the first phase of the TEC hatch (see below, Hatch DAO) and manage other decisions made by the community at the smart contract layer. โ€œWeightedโ€ based on Hatch Tokens awarded to contributors via the Praise System (contributor rewards system, see in funding layer for more info) and/or minted in the TEC Hatch with an input of wxDAI.

๐Ÿ—ณ Tao Voting - Dandelion voting will be upgraded to Tao Voting in the second phase of the Hatch when the TEC token is launched with the Augmented Bonding Curve and Conviction Voting. It is similar to Dandelion Voting but includes Delegation, Disputability and Wait for Quiet features, and does not include the โ€œRage Quitโ€ feature. Tao Voting is โ€œweightedโ€ based on TEC token holdings.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Celeste - Smart contract oracle used make sure funding proposals are in line with community mission, vision and values; Proof of Uniqueness required, stake to participate, staking limited per person.

Signaling Intervals: Discrete ____________________________________________________________________ NOTE: Dandelion Voting, Celeste, Tao Voting, and Conviction Voting exist only in Aragon contracts at the time this was written. The tools being used here emerged as needs arose, and we are now observing them in this applied frame of governance โ€œlayers.โ€
